The targeting system and shooting system suck ass.

This is the first Metal Gear game that I've played, and the controls take some getting used to.

Where the FUCK are the crosshairs/firing indicators?

What's the trick to aiming accurately? The first person mode ain't my cup of tea, since you can't move and shoot at the same time.

Someone explain this to me.

Hmm....You know....I should have realized you wouldn't have digged this game. I mean, between your love for Mercenaries and Splinter Cell, it should have been obvious to me. Sorry. I suppose I should have told you to get Black first.

I think the game is amazing. I just have a bitch of a time shooting.

I'm at the point where Snake has to fight out of his way out of the room he slept in. I can kill 5 out of the 8 gunmen, but I just have trouble with accuracy.

I just finished playing a few more parts of the game.

With the AK-47, I already knew to hold down L1 + R1 to get a better view. Using the square button was fucking me up. I now realize that I must hold square to get the gun ready. From there, it's pressure sensitive. If I slowly let go, the gun is holstered. If I press down harder on the button, the gun fires. It's tough, however, to maintain the same amount of pressure...my thumb eventually presses down with more tension, causing the gun to fire.

I also have problems reloading...if the game auto-reloads for me, then when the gun is ready to go again, the fucker shoots all over the place. Maybe I have to let go of square while reloading?

Does L1 (auto aim) have any use at all?

Auto-Aim? Can't say i ever used that myself, i had a habit of tranking the enemy guards in the head, then while they were asleep, cutting them up with the knife

I remember when I first got the game and was trying to use the grab/interrogation move

The manual said you need to tap O to grab the enmy from behind, but every-time I tapped it I ended up jabbing them in the back of the head

I had a bit of a bitch with the Ocelot crew in that little room, aswell

What I did is: Hid under the bed with the AK pointed at the door in first person. You blow the head off about 4 or 5

Then: 1 is on the roof of the little room you're in

1 is over the other side of the area, behind the big wall

1 can be lured close to the room by making sounds.
I think you can do this guy by shooting out the window, aswell

I just defeated Ocelot in the first boss battle, and I'm so proud of myself!

Try falling off the side of your little island in the Boss battle. Ocelots men make fun of you
