That is correct, Jim; however, some procedures are more risky than others.
So why do an unneeded procedure on someone who haven't been asked whether if he (or she) wants the procedure done?

Further, for a number of cultures, it remains an integral part of a boy's first few days/years.
I offer these not as support for circumcision, but as simple statements of fact.
