That all depends on the media that you're investing time in. I don't really find stuff like Mario Brothers or Mortal Kombat very rewarding. Games like Metal Gear Solid, however, have very provocative(sp) stories as well as employ strategy into the gameplay. Whether or not you think that particular game has redeemable moral factors for the time it consumes is based on opinion. I, personally, took a lot for its politics.
And I can listen to music and do productive things at the same time. In fact, it can inspire me.
