Don't take the "heroes killing heroes" thing too much at face value, Jerry. You really need to see how it's presented. The entire story in particular is presented as a metaphor on the industry, and creative rights. I really think The Authority would be worth your time. If nothing else (and I know this is a cheap sale), it features the first two fully homosexual heroes in an open relationship, the Midnighter and Apollo...
