Why? My mom had this old Michaelangelo artbook, and other art books showing older men with long, beautiful gray beards. I liked the look very much, as it looked to me that the men in those paintings were intelligent, thoughtful, and strong of will.. all traits that I admire and want for myself... so, I guess I emulate their look for those reasons.
Also, because I find beards to be VERY erotic. I am attracted to older ( Older than I, at age 49 ) men with beards, mostly to black men but to some older white, asian, latino, samoan, etc, as well. A gray beard is a big turn on for me.
