I've had facial hair since 1987 (excluding a couple of weeks in Aug. 89 when I shaved off the beard/stache before going to grad school...my daughter, he was 5 months old at the time, didn't recognize me without it, so I grew it back)

i shaved the beard down to a goatee in '99 and have worn the 'tee ever since (see pic).
