I only watch about 5 or 6 shows on a regular basis. I was wanting to try out some new shows. Does anyone have any recommendations for shows that are good, but I haven't had to have watched for 3 or 4 years to understand? I heard the Shield was good, but would I have to have watched it the entire time to "get it".
So, does anyone have any recommendations for my Tivo?

I rent series, or download them on occasion...but the last thing I recall watching was the first season of the new Dr. Who...and even that I couldn't follow (and I was trying to catch them all for Pro...heh).

Scrubs is on all the time. Same with Family Guy, Seinfeld, and Futurama. If I want to watch it, it'll be on 3 or 4 channels in a day. I do own 4400 on DVD, but I can't get into any other show as much to own it.

I got into eureka on sci fi back around the holidays, but haven't seen it since then.
impact on thursdays when i'm not at work.
adult swim most sundays. aqua teen, venture bros. frisky dingo, metalocalypse, robot chicken, i'm forgetting something I know.
but I don't really watch enough to recommend a lot.

I've said it before but this is a show you really need to watch from the very beginning. I just got my brother hooked on it and he also loves it. Its one of the few shows that I have to watch every couple days.
