Well, I'll take back the "evil" part 'cause I'm not religious and it doesn't mean the same to me. But as a person with mental illness that takes care of it, raised by people with mental illness that did NOT take care of it, I don't have a lot of sympathy. If he thought he was doing the right thing, chances are he was some kind of schizophrenic and the people around him would have noticed.

I'm not trying to detract from the tragedy, but I don't think excuses ought to be made.
