well, they liked working for Crockett for the most part. it was just when Crockett began mismanaging the company in the attempt to go national that they problems started. Tully and Arn's main issue was they weren't getting paid what they felt they should have been.
it was Jim Herd that everybody universally agrees that they hated working for. it was Herd who was in charge when Flair left to work for Vince. I've been rereading his book and he says he told Herd "You'll be gone in three months and I'll be back." he wasn't far off.
