Coming from an Earth plagued by heroes-gone-extreme, how will this Superman react to an incarnation of the Justice Society he never knew? This Superman’s world needed better heroes.

Alex Ross joins Geoff Johns as co-writer for Part 1 of “Thy Kingdom Come” Translation- Alex Ross came up with an idea, and the unenviable task of trying to make sense of it falls to Geoff Johns. Alex Ross is a fantastic artist, and a decent idea man, but without a decent writer (Waid, Busiek, Krueger, Dini, etc.), would he have had as much acclaim as he's recieved?

if they wanted a Superman in the JSA, why did they kill the original one in Infinite Crisis? pointless and stupid, and retroactively makes IC look worse than before (which I wouldn't have thought possible).

Alex Ross is...extremely unprofessional and only works on stuff that has a silver age retro vibe.
I used to post regularly to a MB with one of the women who used to be one of Ross's models. She said he was a major asshole.

The Multiverse is back and Silver Age characters and concepts are retconned back in. Destruction of "New Earth" (and thus everything done by Byrne, Jurgens, etc): 42 weeks and counting.

In fact, that was essentially the whole point of ' the Kingdom' miniseries back in 1999: that the Kingdom Come universe was an alternate earth and that the multiple earths still existed, only they were now called " hypertime."

I would say an argument could be made that it lasted right up until now. Between "the Kingdom," "JLA: Earth 2," the alt-Krypton in "Superman", "JLA/Avengers" and a few other books, DC's been admitting that the multiverse still existed for quite some time.

Which is a shame,cuz that had a better concept than what they have now.First,the GA Supeerman was shown to have his Earth,not some crystal rooms with only three other people,but couldn't escape it.Second,anyone from a different Earth couldn't stay long or the one they were on would stsrt to go screwy.So it kinda set some boundries on "cross-overs" from other alternate universes.
