I also think there should be a little more transparencey with the regular users. Like if you post here a decent amount everyone should at the very least know your name. Give us a picture and a first name at the very least. )

Don't things usually slow down during the summer? I have noticed this, too.. however, this is the slowest summer here that I can remember. We have lost a few posters for good, apparently, and some are now simply "special guest stars." It may pick up here as we draw closer to the holidays.. it usually does.

Get rid of the mods that don't post or add to their forums. Put mods in that actually have something to say other than copying and pasting every other post. Merge the two deep thoughts forums together. Make a separate TV forum (or split the media forum in some way). Yep. Mods who actually guide discussion would be good. i used t'just select the mods outta the people who contributed most. ... and then everyone said  cuz they didn't like the selections and that made their hearts asplode and got them to stop wanting to post forever (but never actually stop posting, and instead just more and louder) so then, alright, i let everyone vote on the mods. and then there was more because the elections were rigged. or because someone got more votes that didn't deserve them. or because the voting rules weren't clear enough. there was plenty of all around. i'm fine with going back to selecting the mods that actually do stuff. i just wish to submit this post as fair warning for the initial paragraph's folk.

I'm so yesterday.....it's time for new blood to take over. I am only limited to guest roles now. "posters may fall, but legends never die." there're a lotta long-time posters that just can't post as often as they used to, myself very included. hopefully things'll free up for me in another few months, but its difficult to tell at this point. but thats not too bad, since new blood always does step up to fill in. and then, when the dark knights return, its always a grander party.

Uh, the chats and IM chats make the boards slightly more fun 'cause one has a better idea about the actual person behind the posts. I, for one, look forward to RKMBsCon in Summer 2008.
Maybe we should have some journalist member compose something for new members. A sort-of "get to know the rkmbs" wank-fest. Maybe with links to the Random Interviews. Something to make the boards more accessible to the outside public so some of them might actually sign up. Speaking of, who was the last new member we didn't scare away? I'm remembering Pagliacci, PCgay, whatever... but he killed himself or something. While it's fun to have a tight-knit group of asshats to call "internet-friends," it is also fun to play with new fish. I have the feeling we might be about as accessible as 4chan, with so many inside jokes nobody outside can make head or tails of the writing.

In chats we can talk about things that are more private or we simply don't want to discuss with the whole boards.
