Uh, the chats and IM chats make the boards slightly more fun 'cause one has a better idea about the actual person behind the posts. I, for one, look forward to RKMBsCon in Summer 2008.
Maybe we should have some journalist member compose something for new members. A sort-of "get to know the rkmbs" wank-fest. Maybe with links to the Random Interviews. Something to make the boards more accessible to the outside public so some of them might actually sign up. Speaking of, who was the last new member we didn't scare away? I'm remembering Pagliacci, PCgay, whatever... but he killed himself or something. While it's fun to have a tight-knit group of asshats to call "internet-friends," it is also fun to play with new fish. I have the feeling we might be about as accessible as 4chan, with so many inside jokes nobody outside can make head or tails of the writing.

And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there.
