I was hoping DCD would come out with that version Supergirl! Nice Cold and Supergirl! Is this the Alex Ross line?

The Batgirl figure is very nice but something about the Supergirl one looks too much like a manniquin of a slightly heavier Rebecca Romjin-Stamos.

I'm waiting for it to be collected in a single trade. It looks pretty good, but I prefer my books collected in a single volume.
You know, if DC published "Watchmen" today, they'd probably collect it into three trades instead of one edition at the end.

When that bitch hits Absolute edition, I'm in no questions. And, you know it will. Grimm: You reading Booster Gold any? It's good stuff. AND, that's even with me admitting it's written by Johns...

no, but I read the first part of Annihilation last night. you'll dig the hell out of that. it's very similar to the way you describe Battlestar.

I actually read the trades recently. it's a good story. The Justice line kind of stumbled by doing armorred versions in the last couple of waves. Hopefully this line still has legs & we can see some other silver aged figures that wouldn't get made otherwise. (Metal Men, Doom Patrol, Legion & a Giganta figure)
Fair play!

the armored versions are teh suxors. But DCD was scraping the barrel of the JUSTICE series there... the 70's Supergirl and Batgirl AF's were inspired by Ross' doorsized posters, not the mini. And Ross is a fan of the Cockrum Legion, not SA; see the highend Legion print he did, and the Legion page in JUSTICE #12. I would LOVE figures of them in this line BTW...

It's very much in the vein of the current Brave and Bold series. Just fun. Plus, Dan Jurgens is back to doing what he does best: draw. Is Annihilation out as a complete book yet? Or, is it split into multiple volumes? I've been wanting to try this since Jefferson Glacier posted about it awhile back. What did you think of the JMS Silver Surfer mini?

Jurgens needs to stick to art.
three volumes, I believe. do what I do: read that shit in the bookstore.
nope. I don't pick up singles from DC and Marvel anymore. not worth it.

Jurgens needs to stick to art. He's not a terrible writer, but he's so much better of an artist. Especially when he's taking his time with the art and not trying to write too.

I would like a set of those Cockrum Legion figures, too! Am still pissed that DC Direct quit the SA set, and they were more than halfway through it... only 12 more LSH figures to go.

JLA build a scene statues based on the popular Eras cover. Sweet, but if each segment is $150 a pop that's pretty frickin' steep. And Wondy's face does seem a lil off.
Dear, sweet Harley Kwink...I'm madly in love with you. Marry me! We can go to Canadia. Or Boston or something. It'll be grand...You know the cookies are a given. They are ALWAYS a given. You could dump me tomorrow and you'd still get the cookies. Boston..shit, wherever dyke weddings were legalized. And where better to rub their little piggie noses in how bad they suck than right on their doorstep? What are they gonna do? Be jealous of you? Stare furiously at your tah-tahs? Not willingly give you cookies, but instead begrudgingly give you their cookies? Woman, time to wake up to the powers you wield - Uschi

In this case, especially Supes. I mean who the fuck runs like that? Bats and Hal look more accurate.

Superman looks more like he's just landed, because, as said already, that sure ain't no normal running position!

That's because they're so close together. What happens when he swings down and takes off Canary's skull...or when he swings up and blows straight through Batman's ribcage?

I think that's why Bats is running so much faster, with Supes on one side and Wondy on the other, he doesn't stand a chance.

I'll stick with my animated 10" JLA - JLU figures of Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Flash, Martian Manhunter and Superman, thanks!
They are all standing still with their arms down at their sides.
No one looks like they are about to accidentally decapitate each other...
And they were only $12 to $15 apiece!
