the morrison JLA run is tremendous, david. it can get a little "what the fuck just happened" at times, but for the most part, its fantastic.

his batman is amongst the greatest of all batmans, and the 40 or so books in his run will show it. its really the first and only time batman belonged in the JLA. every other writer makes him the "go out and find clues" kinda guy, but morrison properly placed him amongst the iconic god set of superman and wonder woman, and with a non-forced feeling. it was good shit.

but there's really an excellent characterization amongst all of the 7 stars, and then later, in the larger groups. its really the only instance i've found several characters truly appealing (kyle, flash, aquaman, steel, etc). the dynamic he has them in, the drive he shows in each of them... its really great work.
