Here's some bad ones ive seen:  a Woman vampire feeding on other woman, I thought it gotta be good..wrong!  Vampires and lesbians..I thought what can be better than that!...I was wrong once again.  mixing a vampire and a bible character....bad bad bad...  A waste of time.

Actually, I thought the idea of Dracula really being Judas Iscariot was a pretty good idea. What was dumb was saying that Dracula wasn't killed by sunlight, and that somehow Van Helsing had stayed alive for years on the blood of vampires.

I thought it was ok. Incredibly gross to the point of absurdity, but that's what most horror movies are like.
I HATE Anne Rice. She's bastardized and perverted absolutely everything that was cool about vampires. I hope she dies. The movies on her books usually suck, too.

This weekend I watched Vampires:Los Muertos with Jon Bon Jovi I thought it was ok.
Vampire movies that let me down are Sundown,Dusk tilDawn 2,Vampires,Children of the Night,Dracula 2000.

well i think ann rices look on vampires is more believable than other representations i've seen.No stupid believes like repulsion to garlic, crusifixes and daggers tru the heart..ann rices vampires are more powerful and perhaps a bit romantic in the way they are presented, I guess that doesnt appeal to eveyone. I guess some like to see them in a wild and grotesque way...anyway the books are quite popular and the movies arent that bad to me.Im actually writting a vampire book myself...in hopes to make it a movie... ![[biiiig grin]](images/icons/grin.gif)

well, some people have gotten the wrong ideas about vamps because of miss rice. someone told me, that because of interview, they thought all vamps turned gay. and thanks to her, and severel other sources, the whole goth thing has popped up. ![[no no no]](graemlins/nono.gif)

I think that was a big part of Stoker's Dracula. The Count would seduce women with is charm. One of the frustrating things about Anne Rice is that she's changed so many of the rules that she's often credited with establishing the "basics of vampires", which is absurd because she stole most of it from others.

I don't necessarily, but that does make sense, vampires should be as diverse a group as humans. Beings such as Dracula were civilized, polite, handsome and charming, they had the wealth and dignity that accompanies being royalty, and that was something that made him so dangerous and interesting.

The 50s horror movies are really inaccurate, almost as inaccurate as the 50s Frankenstein movies were(I din't even get why they named the damn movie Frankenstein it was so different).

"We entered a small bedroom at the end of the hall. There was a bronze antique bed with white sheets and pillows. It was lit by dozens of small white candles in the floor and big ones on the tables. He laid me in the bed and closed the door behind him. We were all alone now. He was standing at the edge of the bed, staring at me as always. His face was blurry to me but his eyes were clear as daylight. Right then it happened again. The sadness. The loneliness. That’s what I felt when I looked at those beautiful green eyes. well, i guess it does depend on whos writing it, and which parts of the folklore you wish to use, disregard. still, i think immortality is way overrated, especially considering you would have to take others lives just to continue said existense. unless your completly amoral, and selfish.

There's lots of sex in Anne Rice's books, amazing that she's like 60 and still horny, but the vampires can't(and dont' really seem to care that they can't) have sex. They have that aura of sexuality about them, but it's always just to lure someone in for a bite. In a weird way that's probably their version of sex, or at least sexual bliss.
