Very well done movie. Beautifully shot.
I don't mind saying that I don't understand its point in the least. It's apparent that the Coen brothers knew most people wouldn't. That's definitely why they put so much effort into the basic storyline.
I'd probably understand it if I watched it a few more times, but....Honestly, it's not something I'd watch more than once or twice in a lifetime.

Minor spoilers. You been warned.
The thing that throws most people (myself included) about the story is that you've basically got a couple of dumb parties, one crazy party (Chigurh) and it just seems that everyone's set up to fail.

It was a fuckin' excellent movie and Chigurh is the scariest bastard in movies in a long, long time. Beautifully filmed and left you on the edge of your seat.

It'll probably win Best Picture, among other things. It looks great, and it's only the second best looking film Deakins did last year, behind Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. '07 was a good year for dramas And comedies about unwanted pregnancy! The end was atrocious. There Will Be Blood is superb, though. I hope I don't have to wait five years again for PTA's next one. With all due respect to Scorcese, Spielburg et al, he's the best working American director right now(or, at least, single entity director).

I'm looking forward to seeing this. Jones and Bardiem are always good and I personally prefer the Coen brothers's dramatic films to their comedies.

Exactly. Lebowski was possibly the worst movie I ever paid to see. Two hours of some dirty, annoying, hippie walking around and mumbling about some mystery. If he had just mentioned "Haliburton," "Bushitler" or "corporate media," it would have been like watching "Whomod, the movie."

Funny thing about that movie is that it reminds me about my two best friends in junior high school. In physical appearance, that is. (Scary thing is that it would mean I'm being 'The Dude'.)
