Dunno if everyone has this option in their state, but here there is a statewide library database, and you can select DVD's from any library in the state, they are delivered to your local library, you get a email when they come in and you keep them for a week. We get 2-3 movies a night like this. Unfotunetely they use a queing system like netflix so the neest stuff might take a few days sometimes, but collected series and such usually arrive within a day...
That's an idea. I've only lived in South Carolina for about a year and a half now. So, I don't know if they have anything like that. But, I'm willing to bet they do...
