I hear you guys are having some strong wind.

Cut down on the curry!

We had a typhoon here 3 weeks ago. The exhaust fan in my toilet nearly went into the room next door, and all the old trees outside our building were uprooted or shattered.

So, keep safe.

Was watching TV.

On site field reporter was yammering on about the severity of the hurricane at that moment. Cameraman inavertently catches a man casually and effortlessly walking to his car without a care in the world for half a second before he quickly refocused on the tree swaying about.

Frickin halarious!

I was wondering though. With all the talk of downed power and phone lines, isn't it long overdue for someone to consider underground lines? Here in So.Cal, some communities do this for aesthetic reasons. It really does look beautiful without all that clutter above-ground. I fugure in hurricane and tornado country, it would be a no-brainer.

...it's the south (for the most part).

We're not the brightest bulbs in the batch.

Sinking lines makes perfect sense in hurricane country. It also means you don't need ladders and cherry picker trucks to fix the things - just a shovel.

Well, one, it'd be a very costly renovation. Two, a majority of the Southeast is very spread out. Major cities could afford it, but that's about it. It wouldn't make sense to bury lines in rural communities. Three, the geology of some of the reason makes it harder. Some areas only have a few feet of topsoil before you hit rock which makes digging a bitch. There are a lot of areas where the ground soaks up a lot of the water from rain and what not, making underground lines a risky investment.

What we need are some big ass Tesla coils.

Back in the day Nikola Tesla was working on a way for free energy, and he probably would have made it if his investor didn't realize he couldn't make any profit off it.

It's amazing that there's an entire board of these losers with no lives. I guess if you have no friends in real life, and no girl would ever want you, spamming message boards might be the only thing left.
