I caught "Brotherhood" at asmall local art and reperatory theatre last year....it kicks major ass, and bought "Crimson" because I'm a Reno fan. Both films satisfy, and thanks to the DVD format, on Brotherhood of the Wolf I can switch the audio track to English and not have to sit thru almost 3 hours of subtitles....

Brotherhood of the Wolf was interesting. Great action movie with tremendous special effects and mind blowing cinematography(the opening scene was stunning). I thought at times they got carried away with the martial arts aspect of the movie, Mark Dacascos(Mani) is superb but Fronsac turning into a martial arts expert towards the end seemed somewhat dumb. All in all a good movie, though.

And I'm sure HEROKILLER can see why I'm in love with Monica Bellucci(Sylvia). [humina humina]

The BotW DVD contains a "deleted scene", an alternate take of the openning battle of the film, with not only Mani, but Fronsac kicking ass martial arts-style also. Had they had used that take, instead of the one they did for the finished film, with just Mani fighting the soldiers, then that whole "I'm suddenly a kung-fu master" feeling at the end woulda made more sense....

bt, I can see why they didn't go with that scene, because even though on a techinal side it's a beautiful scene to watch....it would've thrown the pacing off for the whole film.

It was a great movie, I watched las t night instead of going to see Red Dragon. The fighting was great, especially when he was avenging Mani's death, freaking vigilante! The whole obsession "weird hand" had with his sister came out of nowhere, did he rape her?
