besides.you obviously haven't watched the spurs the last 2 years or so when they could win against detroit in a defensive game, or flat out run with the run n gun teams like gs dallas n phoenix.
Yet the Spurs haven't beaten the Mavs in a playoff series in five years, and their regular season record against them during that span is 8-10. The last five Aprils (i.e the stretch run when the Spurs are usually at their best) they're 0-4 against Big D.
Not exactly dominance.
San Antonio's starting lineup's average age is 32. No smack talking here: If the dynasty hasn't ended already, it likely will soon. I say it with great disdain, but assuming a(n eventually) healthy Andrew Bynum, the Lakers are more than capable of dethroning them. A 2-5 of Kobe, Odom, Pau and Bynum is pretty damn good. Plus Derek Fisher is acting like a genuine NBA player again, out of the blue.
One must also take the Celtics at least a little seriously, Eastern Conference or not.
