Kevlar is commonly used in motorcycle clothing, and it weighs a friggin tonne!
I have also never seen a bullet proof vest that isnt a huge padded thing. They are hugely restrictive as far as movement goes, which is why they are vests, not bullet proof shirts or jackets!
