what are your favorite programs for playing back the shit-tons of music on your hard drive? I refuse to let iTunes anywhere near my system, but it's been a while since I actually set up my music library on my computer and let it play. I'm used to windows media player, but I'm sure there are way better apps out there. what do you all use?

And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.

Media Monkey is by far the best free media player.
It includes id3 tagging and various other things.
It also has a nice lil touch where it fades tracks in and out when you play them, just like a real DJ.
Theres also a pay version which opens up lotsa other features such as format conversion!

itunes for podcasts I don't want to chase down on a weekly basis, windows media player for everything else.
I keep telling myself I'm gonna switch to media monkey but I never do.
