I didn't even know they were doing a remake until I went to the theatre this weekend - wouldn't have been cheaper just to release the original?
I don't know if you have seen it or not but it(the original) has some very scarey images which is so very rare in Horror films today! And as for Ring 2, the directors really don't care who they kill!
I look forward to seeing the US version, I remember being very shocked at what the lead character does at the very end of the original!
