I cannot believe that no one has mentioned the pencil/magic moment in the movie! That, to me, pretty much defined the Joker right there - killing someone without a second thought and the making a joke about it ("It's magic!") after - that was an awesome moment!
Actually, everything about the movie was fantastic - I think its the first time a movie actually surpassed the hype about it. Ledger deserves every accolade he receives from this - he actually creeped me out at times, and Dent/Two-Face was done really well - you kinda felt sorry for him. Didn't see Rachel's death coming, but it was done well, and unlike Katie, Maggie's performance actually made her a likeable character.
Like Basite, I figured the cat comment was forshadowing for the next movie's villian. I've heard that Nolan and co aren't signed for a third movie - is this true? I sincerely hope not...
