with that one little mishapen kid from the first movie, and gordon's son in this one, its a definite concern that one of them could grow up to be a storyline robin. i think the tone of the movies is a little too grim, particularly this latest one. its certainly not something i'd like to see added. but nolan has been awesome for the first two -- so maybe he's clever enough to work out a good usage in the third movie. or, if he's only signed on for two, maybe hte new guy will throw robin in there schumacher style

i think catwoman could be a good choice for the next villain. bruce is currently without a love interest, and she's probably the next popular in the rogue hierarchy. they do then run the risk of comparisons, again, to the 90s films, and worse yet, the halle berry film.

not sure whatever villain would really fit this darker style. maybe a DKR mutant gang? having the two big guns joker and ra's come and go really sets the bar pretty high. there's not even a two-face left to continue that story more.
